What I’m Eating or Drinking – Wheat Thins & Swiss Cheese

Adequate amounts of water must be drank each day to avoid dehydration; otherwise it slows down the fat burning process. 8-8oz glasses a day has been recommend. More, if you are sweating heavily. When you burn calories and fat your body creates toxins. Drinking water flushes them out of your body.
Plain water is boring. I had purchased flavored waters and they were good but they can get costly.
So, I looked to my daughter’s school project for guidance to flavor my water. K has been working on an infused water project for event night at her project based learning high school.
Tonight she is presenting her project for about 100-150 people who will walk through the door. Over the week, I have had the pleasure of trying many of the combinations she has created.
The health benefits she gave in her mock speech are amazing. Since I gave up soda this week, I will not lie, it’s been tough. However, her flavored water gave me something to look forward to each day.
I will just give you a few of the benefits she listed. There are so many for each.
Benefits of Lemon Water
1.) Will lower the absorption of sugars from the food you eat simply because of the high acidic content.
2.) It help your cells absorption calcium which burns fat.
3.) Lemon water also voids toxins that may have settled in the digestive tract.
Benefits of Lime Water
1.) Detoxifies your System
2.) Contains magnesium which will help with absorption of calcium for fat burning.
Benefits of Strawberry Water
1.) Full of a B vitamin called Folate that gives your skin a vibrant glow and promotes healthy hair.
Benefits of Cucumber Water
1.) It rids our bodies of parasites, toxins, and bacteria.
2.) Contains a mineral called silica that is needed to help promote strong bones and connective tissue in muscles.
The six recipes I have tried are listed below:
3 cartons of raspberries
4 limes, thinly sliced
Layer the pitcher with lime slices and raspberries Add ice. Repeat until the server is full. Pour water over the ice and fruit.
Thinly slice the orange, lime, lemon. Fill the pitcher with ice and fruit layers. Pour water over. Stir and chill.
Thinly slice the lemon. Add the lemon to the pitcher. Fill pitcher with water. Chill.
Thinly slice both the lemon and lime. Add the lemon and lime into a pitcher. Fill the pitcher with water. Stir, and chill.
1 medium-sized cucumber
Thinly slice the cucumber. Add the cucumber into the pitcher. Fill the pitcher with water. Chill.
1/2 carton of strawberries.
Cut the tops off the strawberries, then half. Add the strawberries to the pitcher. Fill the pitcher with water. Chill.
I plan on making up a few pitchers of infused water each week now. I am thankful that my daughter introduced me to my new “soda.”
I also went ahead and purchased an infusion water pitcher for me and an infusion travel water bottle for her at school.

30 Minutes of walking already in this morning burned 165 calories.
I can’t wait to see her infusion tasting bar and informational table set up tonight. I believe it will leave “A good taste” in her visitor’s mouths.
